Torah Restoration Fundraising Campaign

In our tradition, the Torah is described as Eitz Chayim, a Tree of Life to all who hold fast to it. It is the living heart of our community, holding the stories of our ancestors and the promise of our future.

As a small, rural congregation, we rely on each other. Our strength has always come from our members stepping up to make everything happen.

Our Torah scrolls is in need of repair. Letters have faded, and the parchment requires the gentle, expert care of a Sofer (traditional scribe). Having a functional, kosher Torah is core to who we are and essential to the spiritual life of our community.

This is a profound opportunity for us to fulfill the sacred mitzvah of writing and sustaining a Torah together. On June 24th, a Sofer will arrive in the Seattle area, and we will send our scroll into their careful hands. Because we depend entirely on our members to sustain our community, we are inviting everyone to take part in this restoration through an inclusive campaign.

Our goal is to raise $6,000 to fund these vital repairs.

We need everyone's help to reach this goal, and truly, every little bit helps. In a Torah scroll, if even one tiny letter is missing or broken, the entire scroll is invalid. In the same way, every single donation, no matter the size, is essential to completing this project. To make this accessible, we have established the following sponsorship tiers:

By stepping up to restore these letters, we ensure our Tree of Life remains strong for the next generation. Please, we truly need you to step up right now to make this happen. If everyone does their part, we will reach our goal.

There are two ways for you to participate in this fundraising campaign:
